Head of Battery Energy Storage

Brent Faulk is the Head of Storage at Promittens Energy, where he leads the company’s battery energy storage development strategy. With more than a decade of experience in renewable energy development, Brent specializes in identifying and advancing utility-scale battery storage opportunities by aligning grid infrastructure, land strategy, and market dynamics.
At Promittens Energy, Brent focuses on the origination and early-stage development of battery energy storage projects. His work includes identifying high-potential substations and transmission nodes, securing strategic land positions, and advancing projects through the development pipeline. His expertise in grid analysis and interconnection strategy helps position projects for successful integration into regional power markets.

Brent is also the Principal of Energy Cube, a consulting firm focused on utility-scale energy development, grid strategy, and project origination for solar and battery storage projects. Prior to this role, he held development and origination positions with leading renewable energy companies including RWE Clean Energy and Apex Clean Energy, where he worked on project siting, land strategy, and transmission analysis for large-scale renewable energy projects.
He has experience evaluating transmission infrastructure and interconnection opportunities across major U.S. power markets, including PJM, MISO, NYISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO, and WECC. His work focuses on identifying projects with strong long-term grid value while reducing development and interconnection risk.

Earlier in his career, Brent served in the U.S. Army, where he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and served multiple deployments as a combat veteran while holding a Top Secret security clearance. His service was recognized with numerous military honors, including two Army Commendation Medals, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and multiple overseas service distinctions, as well as the German Armed Forces Weapons Proficiency Badge.
Brent holds a Master’s degree in Business from Boston University.
